Dël-save Dêtîkè (/ˈdɘba/ /ˈsave/ [weird; strange; peculiar] [back (of body); back (reverse side)]) is a subtropical Town located in the Sëcëngêki Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Dël-save Dêtîkè is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Dël-save Dêtîkè was founded by Nadiel̄ Zlêreshèj, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Dël-save Dêtîkè has a yearly average temperature of 25°C (77°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 29°C (84°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 22°C (71°F). Dël-save Dêtîkè receives an average of 251 cm/y (98 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Dël-save Dêtîkè covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 1866 m (6122 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Dël-save Dêtîkè was founded durring the early 12th century in spring of the year 1148, by Nadiel̄ Zlêreshèj. The establishment of Dël-save Dêtîkè was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Dël-save Dêtîkè's construction back out of the project. Nadiel̄ Zlêreshèj pushed on reguardles, and Dël-save Dêtîkè was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Dël-save Dêtîkè was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the early 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Dël-save Dêtîkè is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature plaster covered brickwork used to form structures with an emphasis on symmetry, proportion, geometry and the regularity of parts. Orderly arrangements of columns, pilasters and lintels, as well as the use of semicircular arches, hemispherical domes, niches and aediculae can be found everywhere such that only size of building and yard can be used to measure the general prosparity of a given building's owners due to a general wealthy feeling the style gives off.

Dël-save Dêtîkè is buildings are grouped arround an odd layout of broad baked earthen streets, which seems to be based on an overlapping squair patern such that there are small squares at the cornor of every bigger square. Sometimes buildings exist in the smaller squaires, other times they are open spaces, or occupied by temporary structures. The town emploies a series of defencive earthworks, spikes, and fences to provide some protection against wild beasts and smaller groups of intelegent foes. Unfortuantly, these minimaly adiquite are in extreem disrepair, so much so that one cannot tell if they are decaying from a lack of mantance or damage incured.

A look arround Dël-save Dêtîkè reveals an abundance of schools, libraries, and other academic structures. Locals can be overheard having academic discussions, as well as talking about scholarly subjects in general. It’s quite clear the town places a lot of value on education and being a learned individual.

Cultural Notes

Dël-save Dêtîkè's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is which made use of the classical orders and mathematically precise ratios of height and width combined with a desire for symmetry, proportion, and harmony. It used columns, pediments, arches and domes are imaginatively in buildings of all types. Decorative features were seen as largely unnecessary as the sheer beauty of the structure itself was often close to art. However, many buildings with large ceiling spaces had their ceilings decorated with elaborate paintings, simply because the large flat spaces could feel wasted.
